Our thoughts, words, attitudes, and underlying beliefs have a powerful influence on every aspect of our life. There is POWER in the Word of God. There is power in "positive" thinking. Below I have compiled a list of affirmations, quotes and scriptures - important truths to think about, to ponder and to incorporate into your belief system. I have been using many of these for years. Pick one that appeals to you and repeat it several times. Say it now; say it many times today. (whether you believe it or not) Gradually these will become part of you, and manifest in your life. "Be it done unto you according to your belief."

The Power of the Spoken Word By Katy "It is not surprising that most of the world's religions believe that sound is the most powerful creative force in the universe; that the world was created through the power of sound and vibration: The Bible says, "In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was God. In the Hindu tradition, the sacred phrase OM is known as the universal sound of God, and is thought to have been the first sound to manifest on the physical plane. The name Nada Brahma means both the creator God and Sound." ~ Kate Marks ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In the beginning was the Word..... God created the world, and continues to create with the power of His spoken word. Thoughts and words are a very powerful force. Have you ever heard anyone say, "Oh, that kills me", "that tickles me to death, or she makes me sick". Our subconscious mind believes what we say whether we really "mean" what we say or not. So be conscious of your thoughts and words. Along those lines I'd like to share this story with you. About twenty years ago (or so) I memorized and got into the habit of saying the 23rd Psalm every night before I went to sleep, and often during the day. Part of the Psalm reads: "He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams." (Living Bible version) I repeated it over and over as a means of comfort, and as an affirmation of God's goodness. Today, those words have come true for me - literally! Recently my husband and I bought our little "dream house" out in the country, and one summer afternoon as I was out walking in the "meadow" grass, and beside the quiet stream along side our house , I realized that the 23rd Psalm that I had been saying for years had and literally come true!
